The days fly here, Mondays are often followed by Fridays, such is the speed and amount of work, it definitely has been a positive year for me, at 29 I was eager to prove my skills after sitting the CELTA last July, although I had previously taught for 5 years. I landed in the unchartered waters of Latina, having been up in the north of Italy during previous teaching years.I was impressed by the relaxed environment, which mixes well with a professionally dedicated twist, and in my opinion this is due to the fabulous mix which results from the close cooperation of the two dynamic sisters, Conchita and Annamaria, who are complementary for their light heartedness and professionalism. So if you’re in a crazy angry mood after a tough day in the local Liceo, have a chat with Annamaria. If you feel like getting some serious tips on how to manage time spotlessly, ask Conchita. I’ve been treated like many private schools don’t treat their employees, with respect but in a relaxed way.  The school has got excellent facilities, computer network, online timetabling, well equipped  teacher’s room, scanner, OHP, Mimio, whatever you need. All these things make your life easier when the school season is in full swing!I’ve chosen to leave because I’d like to explore other countries. Life here is good. The weather is amazing, the natural beauties of the surroundings of Latina are fantastic and biodiversity is high. Historical sites are literally a trip-into factor of any  day out in the countryside. In the city people on the streets are chilled out, and they aren’t in a metropolitan frenzy like in Milan. I found Latina one of the provincial cities with the highest number of  trees and my daily walk to school has always been accompanied by whiffs of the most amazing floreal fragrances, every season here has its flowers!

I can hardly believe a year has passed - it has simply flashed by. Accademia Britannica has been a welcoming school to work at with a friendly atmosphere and plenty of support for its teachers from Conchita and Annamaria. It is well resourced  with computers and a good range of books and additional materials. I’ve had a varied timetable, teaching students of all ages and levels. I’ve also taught in two Italian sSate Schools which has been an interesting experience. I have enjoyed all of my classes and will miss my students and the people I have encountered during my stay in Latina.

Thanks even to your help, I reached an undreamed-of result! (without IELTS you cannot participate to the selections). I'm one of the only 4 Italian "students" admitted to the International Master in Fine Food and Beverage of Bocconi's University. Remembering all your team (especially my two teachers Liz and Mike) with great affection I give my best regards.
